Blueberry Wheat Ale
Our second collaboration with the unstoppable @vegandonuts831
This time, we decided to take a more “delicate” approach to using their donuts in our beer — the last time being Tag Team Takedown, a burly imperial pastry stout.
We created an American Wheat ale as a base. Refreshing, but with a distinct wheat body that feels substantial without feeling sweet.
Then we added donuts. A lot of donuts.
Hole Foods Vegan Donuts woke up early and baked off a few dozen blueberry glazed donuts, and we tossed them in the mash! These delicious treats lend their proteins, carbohydrates, sugars, and flavor to the beer.
We later added organic blueberry puree to the fermentation to really bring out the essence of eating those fresh baked blueberry donuts.
